We have 3,600 gruelling miles to cover and 100 days of constant rowing. We are now in the middle of the Indian Ocean and not only do we still have a long way to go to reach Mauritius, we still have a long way to reach our fundraising targets. You can help us to reach those targets by either by sponsoring us per stretch of 10 miles or sponsoring a day. Whichever way, we will recognise your contribution by including you in the Sponsors listings at the bottom of this page.

Our IPOD competition

The competition for naming our boat and winning an IPOD is now closed as the boat has been named ('Southern Cross') and we are now well out at sea in her. But you can see the names of people who entered and their suggested boat names below.

Messages of Support

Rebecca Adlington

"There are plenty of water based challenges, but this has got to be
one of the toughest. 4,000 miles with up to 80 days in a boat under
your own power is unimaginable - and you are both only 21 years old! I
wish you all the best for the race and well done for raising so much
money for charity, an amazing achievement. GOOD LUCK"

Sparks

‘Good luck with all the training Jamie!  We will be there to support you
every step of the way on your amazing experience. We are a small charity
so your support will have a massive impact and really will make a difference
to the lives of thousands of babies and children throughout the UK and beyond!
Thank you again Jamie!’ - Kags Garrard, Challenge and Community Co-ordinator
