Boat Launch Blessing

 

A very enjoyable evening, beginning with a very nice boat blessing by Father Michael, with a shower of Holy Water to bless our boat, Southern Cross and ourselves.

 

A wonderful talk by our guest speaker Jan Meek. A truly inspirational woman, telling the tale of her own Atlantic Ocean Row, a real mix of the tough hardship of the journey and the sensational experience and incredible moments witnessed in the sheer isolation of an ocean.

 

A lot of hard work and organization went into the evening and this is all a result of my mum's brilliant efforts and organisation skills, so thanks to Ro Facer.

 

To all those that came it was wonderful to see you there and to share the last day our boat was in the UK with you.
